
S7706 PoE Hardware Description
Introduction
S7706 is one of the S7700 series smart switches, and the S7700 series switches are smart routing switches designed for next-generation enterprise networks. The S7700 series switches can offer voice, video, and data services, helping enterprises build routing and switching integrated end-to-end networks.
The S7700 series design is based on Huawei’s intelligent multi-layer switching technology to provide intelligent service optimization methods, such as MPLS VPN, traffic analysis, comprehensive HQoS policies, controllable multicast, load balancing, and security, in addition to high-performance Layer 2 to Layer 4 switching services. The S7700 also features super scalability and reliability.
The S7700 series is available in three models: S7703/S7703-PoE, S7706/S7706-PoE, and S7712. The switching capacity and port density of all three models are expandable. The S7700 is based on a new hardware platform, which adopts a left-to-rear ventilation channel to achieve better energy efficiency. Key components work in redundancy mode to minimize risks of system breakdown and service interruption. Using innovative energy-saving chips, the S7700 provides an industry-leading solution for a sustainable energy-saving network.
The S7706 PoE chassis provides 6 LPU slots, 2 SRU slots, 2 Centralized Monitoring Unit (CMU) slots, and 8 power supply slots.
The S7706 PoE chassis supports three redundancy modes of power modules: N+N, N+1, and N+0. You can run the set power backup-mode command to configure the backup mode of power modules. By default, the power supply redundancy mode is automatic redundancy. That is, the power module roles are automatically determined based on the power and number of power modules.
- M: indicates a master power module that is supplying power. When the backup mode of power modules is N+N or N+1, N power modules are of the master role.
- S: indicates a standby power module. When the backup mode of power modules is N+N or N+1, N or one power module is of the standby role.
- A: indicates a power module that is always supplying power. When the backup mode of power modules is N+0, N power modules are of the A role.
After the power supply redundancy mode is configured, run the display power command to view the power module roles.

2. Exchange Policy

Eligibility for Exchanges (Quality Issues Only):
You may request an exchange if the product develops a quality issue within 15 calendar days of receipt. The conditions for eligibility are:- The product must be returned with all original packaging, accessories, and manuals.

Huatelecom will bear the international shipping costs for the exchange. -
Exchange Process:
Upon receiving the defective product, we will inspect it and send a replacement product within 7 business days.
3. Warranty Service

Coverage During the Warranty Period:
For products within the warranty period, if quality issues arise, we will provide a replacement free of charge with your next order. No additional shipping costs will be incurred for the replacement. -
Out-of-Warranty Repairs:
For products outside the warranty period, repairs can be arranged. However, customers will need to cover theround-trip international shipping costs for sending the product to us and receiving it back after repair.
4. Damages or Loss During Shipping

For Customers Who Purchased Shipping Insurance:
If the product is damaged or lost during shipping, the insurance company will compensate for the loss. Customers must:- Submit a compensation claim within 15 calendar days of the order being shipped.
- Provide required documentation, such as photos of the damaged packaging, damaged product, or proof of non-delivery.
- Huatelecom will assist in the claim process to ensure timely resolution.
